50 Years of Polish at the UW: Celebrating Polish-American Heritage Lecture Series

In 2002 the Polish Studies Program at the University of Washington celebrated its 50th anniversary by organizing a lecture series featuring internationally renowned speakers of Polish origin.

Distinguished Polish Speakers Series

In 2004 a private donation from Dr. and Mrs. Andrzej and Izabella Turski provided for the continuation of our series of public lectures initiated in 2002 in celebration of the 50th anniversary of teaching Polish at the University of Washington.

The lectures feature distinguished speakers on Polish culture, history and political life.
